UNMASKING
Moving Beyond Performance to Realignment
Many leaders are performing strength while quietly carrying pressure, perfectionism, self-editing, burnout or fear.
In this keynote, Kat Marenzi challenges the culture of constant composure & invites audiences into a more honest, coherent way of living & leading.
Drawing from her TEDx experience, 25+ years in high-pressure automotive leadership & her work in somatic realignment, Kat reveals how the masks we wear can protect us for a season & eventually cost us our clarity, creativity, connection & power.
Through story, nervous-system insight & practical realignment tools, audiences learn how to move beyond performance, rebuild self-trust & communicate with more presence under pressure.
When people stop performing & start realigning, leadership becomes more human & far more powerful.
THE COST OF A MASK AT WORK
We all wear masks at work ~
and yes, coming from the woman in the masquerade mask, the metaphor is not exactly subtle.
Especially in high-pressure environments like dealerships.
You learn how to look composed, move fast, handle the customer, manage the numbers, keep the peace, and keep going.
I know that world deeply.
I also know what it can cost when the outside looks polished, but the nervous system is running hot.
That mask can quietly drain you ~ like sitting in a parked car with the engine off, still playing the radio and pulling power from the battery.
Over time, it takes a toll on your energy, your clarity, and how you show up under pressure.
In a person, we often call it “just doing the job.”
This keynote helps people notice the mask before it becomes burnout.
Through story, real-world insight, and simple nervous-system practices, Kat helps teams understand what pressure does to the body, how performance can become armor, and how to return to a more honest, steady, and connected way of showing up.
HO‘OPONOPONO PRACTICE
Self-forgiveness opens the space.
Ho‘oponopono is a Hawaiian prayer practice of reconciliation, forgiveness & return.
Four simple phrases become a doorway back to the heart:
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
For me, this practice is about softening the grip of the past, clearing what no longer needs to be carried & creating space for peace, clarity & deeper alignment.
It brings us back to the only place life can meet us ~ here.
